Though each one has their own style in the sales industry, people are buying from you for three basic reasons: they trust, like, and respect you. As a sales person of the company you are selling, you are the faces of the company and you should be able to appeal to as many people as possible. This can only be achieved through modest decorum in styling and dressing up conservatively. To be considered as a sales professional, you should dress like one! Our body language during any interview tells a lot about our personality. Having a genuine smile and a firm but brief handshake prior to the beginning of the interview will set the mood of both the interviewer and the interviewee. Maintaining good eye contact and to nod when the interviewer is making a point are the most important thing to do in an interview. This gesture shows that you are an active participant in the interview and that you are listening to what the other person is saying. Imitating the posture of the interviewer is one way of building rapport subconsciously and makes the person at ease. Asking questions that are open ended is one way of showing the interviewer of your enthusiasm and interest on the job. Lastly, you need to have confidence.
